About Wild Roots Gifting – Handcrafted Terrariums & Sustainable Plant Gifts

They bring life, calmness and a sense of connection with the outdoors. But we wanted to explore a different way of bringing that feeling into people’s everyday lives.

The idea was to go beyond simply placing a plant in a pot. We wanted to explore the design and craftsmanship of plants — how living greenery could be thoughtfully arranged and presented as something beautiful, artistic and meaningful.

That is where our journey with terrariums began.

We started designing terrariums to give plants a completely different look and character. By bringing together living plants, glass, moss, natural stones, wood, miniature landscapes and thoughtful design, we began creating small living worlds that could exist inside homes, offices and other indoor spaces.

For us, a terrarium was never simply a plant inside a glass container. It was a way of bringing a piece of nature closer to people through design.

As we experimented and learned, our work gradually evolved from growing and caring for plants to creating handcrafted living landscapes. We explored different plants, glass forms, natural materials and design styles, learning how each element could come together to create a balanced and beautiful miniature ecosystem.

With time, we realized that these living creations could also become something more — meaningful gifts that continue to live and grow.

Unlike conventional gifts that may be enjoyed for a short period, a terrarium can become a part of someone’s home, desk or workspace. It can be cared for, watched as it grows and remain a lasting reminder of the person who gave it.

This thought eventually led to the creation of Wild Roots Gifting.

What started in Dehradun with a desire to bring people closer to nature gradually evolved into a journey combining plants, craftsmanship, terrarium design and sustainable gifting. Today, we create handcrafted terrariums, bonsai and plant-based gifts for homes, offices, hotels, businesses and special occasions.

Our journey may have grown beyond Dehradun, but the idea behind Wild Roots has remained the same.
